County Farm Bureau Fresh Citrus Program
Clay, Coles, Cumberland, Effingham, Marion, and Shelby County Farm Bureaus are again offering fresh citrus in time for the holidays. The Premium Holiday Fruit Box contains a mix of oranges, grapefruit, pears, clementines, lemons, limes, pineapple, Washington apples, and gourmet popcorn kernels. Order forms are due on November 20, 2026. The fruit is scheduled to be delivered to your Farm Bureau office on December 18th. Not responsible for fruit quality after two days.

Prime Timers Holiday Social
Celebrate the start of the holiday season with us at our annual Prime Timers Holiday Social on Tuesday, November 17, at the St. Anthony of Padua Parish Center in Effingham. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a delicious catered dinner from Niemerg’s Steakhouse and live music by Dakota Esker.
Prime Timer Trip - Baseball, Bouquets, and Brilliant Displays
Join us for a festive Prime Timers adventure to St. Louis on Wednesday, December 2! This exciting day combines Cardinals baseball history, beautiful flowers, delicious Italian food, and spectacular Christmas lights.
We will be departing from Effingham at 10:30 a.m., touring the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum, take a tour of Busch Stadium, and then make a stop at Walter Knoll Florist. Afterwards we will have dinner at Favazza’s on The Hill at 4:00, where guests can choose between Cannelloni or Sicilian Chicken with a side of Cavatelli. We will finish the day with a drive through Wonderlights Christmas at World Wide Technology Speedway before arriving back in Effingham around 8:45pm.
